About Me, Rates, And Testimonials
About Me:
I’m Michael Gerber, M Ed — a patient, funny, and deeply experienced tutor with years of success helping students and adult learners transform their academic experience. I’ve worked with students across a wide range of abilities, including those with learning differences, and I specialize in explaining things until they click.
Fun Facts:
I also love magic, chess, origami, cartooning, and cooking — and sometimes weave these into lessons to help students re-engage with learning.

Michael changed my son’s life. Nick was struggling with math at the high school level. Michael swoops in and makes it all better. His patience, expertise and sense of humor helped Nick through a tough time. Will forever be grateful to Michael Gerber!

when my son was in high school I needed a tutor who could keep him focused and on task, which was never an easy feat. My son was disinterested in school and the idea of going to a tutor after school was not something he look forward to. Michael was engaging in a way that kept my son interested through creativity and music. He held his attention and taught him what he needed to learn to succeed in school. He enjoyed his time with Michael so much. He didn’t even realize he was learning and retaining. This was a fabulous experience for my family.

When I was having a hard time in high school my family friend recommended Mike. I wasn’t grasping information from just reading it out of a text book. Mike would show and teach me everything I needed to know in ways that would make sense. He is really good at teaching hands on learners that don’t retain information from just copying notes and reading books. It made school more enjoyable and we ended up becoming good friends. I highly recommend his services if you are having a hard time with the cookie cutter style schools have adapted.

Our son has really enjoyed his tutoring sessions with Michael. He always looks forward to their time together. Grades in school have greatly improved. We love how Michael and our son have really connected.

Michael was an enormous help to our son. He was patient and came up with imaginative ways to help him understand the material. Most importantly, though, he established a great rapport with him and that seemed to make all the difference. He looked forward to his sessions with Mike which was a wonderful surprise because he could be an extremely reluctant student.
